1921-2010
Helmut Friedrich Schäffenacker was born in Ulm in 1921. He produced ceramic items in series which were retailed as both decorative and utilitarian artistic objects.

Schäffenacker worked in a great array of materials in addition to ceramics including bronze, wood, stone, metals and paper. His output included paintings and sculpture and public art works.

Identification
Items are generally made using red/brown clay and marked with a form number (sometimes the form number is preceded by a number). Items were also labelled with a gold and black foil sticker (see photo below).
