Hutschenreuther

1814-Present

The first Hutschenreuther porcelain factory was established in 1814 by Carolus Magnus Hutschenreuther in Hohenburg.

Lorenz Hutschenreuther – the son of Carolus Magnus Hutschenreuther – established a new factory in 1857 in Selb (close to the Czech Republic border).

In 1969, Porzellanfabriken Lorenz Hutschenreuther AG Selb merged with C. M. Hutschenreuther of Hohenberg. Rosenthal purchased on the Hutschenreuther name in 2000.

Identification
Hutschenreuther porcelain had a range of different marks. The fat lava era items typically had either a lion in an oval with the 1814 date or a interlocking HK with Hutschenreuther Germany text. White clay was used.
