West German Pottery Spotted (51) – Reclaim Magazine Issue 15 July 2017

In the July 2017 edition of Reclaim magazine there is a feature on the home of Hayley Stevens and Benjamin Scott, who run “Junk Deluxe, a unique furniture and homeware shop specialising in mid-century and industrial design, based in Margate”.

Thier home features some West German Pottery, images shown below.

West German Pottery Spotted (49) – Anki Overdrive TV Advert

What appears to be a West German vase (perhaps by Bay Keramik or Scheurich) appears briefly in the TV advert for the car racing game Anki Overdrive.

Shown below surrounded by racing car action!

West German Pottery Spotted (48) – UK National Space Centre

The National Space Centre in Nottingham features a display on the 1969 moon landing. It allows you to ‘re-live’ the event in a 1960’s living room. The room features a Krösselbach Fayence bowl – see below.

It also has a rather nice fat lava ceramic tile coffee table – I’ve never been sure where these are made, maybe France or Italy.

West German Pottery Spotted (47) – ‘Flower Arranging and House Plants’ Book

OK, the title of this post is maybe misleading as it doesn’t actually contian West German pottery, but this book by Ruth Quartermaine, published in 1971, does feature some stylish retro Italian ceramics.
