Christmas German Pottery

We have been busily ebracing the seasonal spirit at pots and pots. Predictably this has included putting some of our West German pottery to work in creating some little seasonal displays.

West German Pottery Spotted (31) – Mrs Brown’s Boys, TV Show

A West German pottery vase and lamp feature in the TV show ‘Mrs Brown’s Boys’. These were spotted in an episode first broadcast on BBC One on the 1st of January 2013 (Mrs Brown’s Boys – Series 3 – Mammy’s Spell).

The images below show a brown Schurich floor vase.

Fat Lava Halloween

Pumpkin jack-o’-lanterns with matching Fat Lava ceramics. The best of the Pumpkins by some length (pumpkin eating a squash) was courtesy of Deiniol Williams who makes wood fired anagama ceramics.

West German Pottery Sale Announced!

Pots and Pots are very excited to announce that we shall be holding a grand West German pottery sale on Saturday the 30^th of November and Sunday the 1^st of December. We shall be throwing open the doors to our treasure trove (i.e. our double garage) which is stocked to the rafters with over 1,500 fat lava items.

There should be something for everyone:

All manner of items: vases, wall plaques, plates, plant pots, candle holders etc
Huge range of manufacturers: from Bay and Carstens to Steuler and Ü Keramik
Subtle 1950s mid century design items through to the outlandishly garish decors of the 1970s
Small (4cm) or large (60cm) vases
Prices from £3 to £60

We will be opening the doors at 10:00am – but there is no need to rush as we will be on hand to fill any gaps that do appear with brand new stock that we just don’t have space to display!

The sale will be held at 27 Green Lane, Hadfield, Derbyshire, SK13 2DT.
