This is the third installment of the West German Pottery price trend analysis. The aim is to monitor the changing value of West German pottery through analysis of UK eBay sales. The intention is that this will provide a barometer for the popularity/desirability of Fat lava items
November 2011 sales indicate an increase in average sale prices compared to the previous month. The average sales price was £21.91 (compared to Octobers £14.67). The top 20% most expensive items was slightly down at £78.51 (compared to Octobers £88.16).
A longer data series will be required to determine if this increase in sale price is a result of random month to month variation or part of a longer term trend.
To see more detail on how the values are calculated see here.

Do you only do items described as fat lava or all W. German pottery? If only fat lava, how do you define it?

Hello Forrest, I include items with any of 27 search terms which include Fat Lava and West German pottery but also many other related search terms such as company names. So the price trends tracked should cover West German pottery generally and not just items with Fat Lava in the title. Hope that makes sense. You can see more details on the how the analysis is undertaken here. Many thanks PotsandPots
